Domain Price Variation January 1st 2019
From the 1st of January 2019 our domain name prices will be changing.
Current Webterior customers can opt to renew your domains early at their current prices, until December 31st 2018.
We haven’t changed our domain pricing since 2014, while our costs, however, have increased over time. Wholesale domain prices are set by the registry and over the past four years have steadily increased. We have absorbed these prices for as long as we can and the new prices are still very competitive.
Anything else?
Yes, you should be aware that as a result of GDPR Nominet have automatically redacted your personal information from the WHOIS database. This information is therefore no longer available publicly and only law enforcement and approved parties can view it.
Unlike 123-reg we will not be automatically opting you into an additional chargeable privacy protection service you no longer need!
Why the change?
Wholesale prices have gone up and the dollar has strengthened against the pound (all purchases ultimately have to convert to USD). Our approach has always been to set prices and absorb increases for as long as possible. Then set a new price that will last as long as is economic. We don’t like sending out price variation emails…
Renew now at old prices, until December 31st
In the interest of being as fair as possible, we’re giving existing clients 2 months notice about this upcoming change and you can also add additional time at the current prices – get in touch with us if you’d like to renew early.
.com, .net, .org & .info domain names
These have increased from £8.99 to £10.99/year.
.uk domain names
